NPR's Elizabeth Blair profiles fiddler Ashley Macisaac. He comes from a tiny village on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Macisaac burst onto the scene in 1995 with a CD that combined his blistering fiddle playing with modern rock and electronica. Since then, he's collaborated with Phillip Glass, David Byrne and Paul Simon. His new, self-titled CD has just been released in the U.S.
