Over the weekend in Wales, a man got his lawnmower up to nearly 88 mph. He set the record for lawnmower speed. The team had hoped to reach 100 mph.

Good morning. I'm David Greene.

Please don't try this at home. A man in Wales says he got his lawnmower up to nearly 88 miles an hour, not just to get the chores done but to break a world record for lawn mower speed. Who knew? The winning team said 88 miles per hour was slow. They wanted to hit the century mark. According to strict Guinness World Record rules, lawn mowers can be modified but still must be primarily built of lawn mower parts. Oh, and they actually have to cut grass.
