U.S. Disbands Iraqi Military

The U.S. administrator in Iraq orders the dissolution of the country's armed forces and security organizations that supported Saddam Hussein's regime. Paul Bremer also disbands the Ministry of Defense. The changes may put 400,000 Iraqis out of work. Hear NPR's Christopher Joyce.
