"Let the Record Show"

Laura Burhenn is the voice and driving force behind the soulful band The Mynabirds. Originally one-half of the indie-rock duo Georgie James, Burhenn began to write for The Mynabirds in the spring of 2009. Retreating to the mountains of Oregon with producer Richard Swift, she recorded a bold and powerful debut, What We Lose in the Fire We Gain in the Flood. The album conjures images of a night spent dancing to classic soul records.
