New Training Manual For China's Bus Drivers
STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
Communist China has taken yet another step down the road of decadent capitalism. Bus drivers and ticket sellers received a new training manual. A driver no longer needs to address a passenger as comrade. It's now the rule to refer to the passenger as sir or madam. The one exception is older Chinese who are used to the old ways and are not expected to change any time soon. They can continue to be comrades as long as they want.
It's MORNING EDITION.
