Tweet Named 'Most Beautiful'

Comedian Stephen Fry searched for the wittiest Twitter message when he chose the most beautiful tweet ever at a literary festival in Wales. The winning tweet is from Marc MacKenzie: "I believe we can build a better world! Of course, it'll take a whole lot of rock, water & dirt. Also, not sure where to put it."

DEBORAH AMOS, host:

Good morning. I'm Deb Amos.

Brevity is the soul of wit. It's the whole idea on Twitter, where messages must be no more than 140 characters. This weekend, British comedian Stephen Fry searched for the wittiest when he chose the most beautiful tweet ever at a literary festival in Wales. From MarcMack, it reads: "I believe we can build a better world! Of course, it will take a whole lot of rock, water & dirt. Also, not sure where to put it." Get it?

It's MORNING EDITION.
