Delta Spirit formed when singer-songwriter Matt Vasquez was discovered busking at a San Diego light-rail station. Now, five years later, Delta Spirit has released its second album, History From Below, which expands on their soulful songwriting and frenetic musical energy. The five-piece sports an Americana-inspired twang via southern California, and its poppy, direct songs shine in an electrifying live show featuring trashcans and orchestral bass drums.
