NPR's Richard Gonzales reports that Superior Court Judge Carolyn Kuhl, who has been nominated to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, is facing opposition from Senate Democrats. The American Bar Association says she is well qualified. Opponents say she has a conservative bias that they find troubling.
