Pakistan's Media Raises Its Voice

Recent news out of Pakistan tells of a country at extremes ranging from a bloody siege at the Red Mosque to a growing democracy movement. A newly emboldened media is reporting more of the news than ever before, with a new level of scrutiny.

Journalist Fasi Zaka, who writes and broadcasts largely for an English-speaking audience, is emblematic of the nation's newly vibrant media. His targets have included political leaders and at least one radical cleric. He discusses the media explosion with Renee Montagne.
