Most basketball fans in Ohio are tossing out their LeBron James gear these days, but one Akron woman has a treasure that won't be turning into trash. Four years ago, Vaneisha Robinson bought a pendant in the shape of LeBron's jersey for $5. It was encrusted with gems she assumed were fake. Turns out, the pendant is worth $10,000.

MARY LOUISE KELLY, host:

Good morning. I'm Mary Louise Kelly.

Most basketball fans in Ohio are tossing their LeBron James gear these days. But one Akron woman has a treasure that won't be turning into trash. Four years ago, Vaneisha Robinson bought a pendant in the shape of a LeBron jersey for $5. It was encrusted with gems she assumed were fake. But the International Gemological Institute said otherwise. They priced it at almost $10,000. She promptly put it on eBay.

It's MORNING EDITION.
