Anyone looking for their fix of old-school rock 'n' roll, look no further than Los Angeles’ own Carney. Led by namesake brothers Reeve and Zach Carney, the band has drawn rave reviews and packed local clubs. Reeve's impressive voice and Zane's soaring guitars have a vintage '70s feel, and it's clear they've worn through many an album by Led Zeppelin and The Doors.

The band released its first album this past May, Mr. Green: Vol. 1, but what's got people really buzzing about Carney is Reeve's other job. He's set to play Peter Parker in the Broadway production of Spider-Man, scored by U2's Bono and The Edge. Click the link above to hear Carney's studio session on World Cafe.
