Black Music Month: David Thigpen

June is National Black Music Month. The Tavis Smiley Show marks the occasion with a five-part series looking at each of the major genres in black American music with a critique of today's rhythm and blues. Time magazine music writer David Thigpen talks about searching for the new sound of R&B, and looks at artists like Floetry, Glenn Lewis and Res.
