U.S. - Congo

U.S. troops are not a part of the French-led international force now deploying in eastern Congo to try to halt ethnic bloodshed. The force has a limited mandate and is scheduled only to remain in the Congolese town of Bunia until Sept. 1. Some Africa watchers fear the international response to the fighting in eastern Congo is inadequate. NPR's Michele Kelemen reports.
