Cee Lo's Viral Hit: Blunt and Sweet

There’s a catchy new tune by Gnarls Barkley member Cee Lo Green that's gone viral on the web, the lovingly titled "F- - - You." The song was played more than 2 million times in the five days following its release and has been featured on close to 4,500 music blogs, according to a spokesman at Green's label, Atlantic Records.

The song deals with an age-old theme: a jilted guy addressing his ex’s new lover. Green boils that theme down to its crass essentials and pairs it with an upbeat soul background. Music Critic Tom Moon says “it’s the play of opposites — he's saying something that’s so blunt, but around him is all this Jackson 5 sweetness and light. To me, that makes it — the contrast is the magnet.”
