'The Language Police'

Publishers of tests and textbooks have created a lengthy list of banned words and phrases that can NEVER be used in curriculum. Diane Ravitch, an education historian and former assistant Secretary of Education has written a new book that takes a look at the history of the "bias guidelines" called: The Language Police: How Pressure Groups Restrict What Students Learn.
