Swiss Grandmothers Knit Tea Cozy For Smart Car

If there was ever a car that looked like it needed a tea cozy, the Smart Car is it. In Switzerland, a group of grandmothers took up the challenge. The women used 70 lbs. of wool to knit a snuggie that makes the tiny car look like a giant roller skate.

If there was ever a car that looked like it needed a tea cozy, the Smart Car is it. And in Zurich, Switzerland, a group of grandmothers took up the challenge. The women used 70 pounds of wool to knit a snuggie that makes the tiny car look like a giant tennis shoe - make that roller skate, since the wheels are showing. The whimsical object came out of a serious goal to put senior crafts people together with young designers.
