Polio Eradication Campaign Centers on India
An international anti-polio campaign focuses its resources on India, which reported more than 1,600 new cases in 2002, or about 85 percent of the world's total. Health workers and volunteers around the country hold polio immunization days in an effort to administer polio drops to more than 140-million Indian children. Hear NPR's Michael Sullivan.
