Set List

  • "Infinity"
  • "American West"

Led by former A-Sides bandmates Jon Barthmus and Patrick Marceill, Sun Airway emerges from the heart of Philly to share their unique blend of sounds. Using a combination of processed field recordings, the duo melds atmospheric and sweet sounding pop tunes, the first batch of which were revealed on their debut EP Oh, Naoko.

After successful remixes of "Dolorean" and "Here We Go Magic," the duo's song-writing talents were quickly recognized. Their washed and hovering synths are often pieced together with glittery melodic frills to create a hazy musical backdrop. Reinforced by straightforward pop structures, drum beats and bass patterns, it's a style you can either sit with pensively or get up and dance to. Adding finely tuned vocals to the mix, the duo realizes their sound on stage by expanding into a full, five-piece band.

After months spent recording a twisty combination of electronic, indie-pop and ambient sounds, they are preparing for the release of Nocturne of Exploded Crystal Chandelier, their debut under the Dead Oceans label. The album stays true to the expansive musical explorations that have fueled Sun Airway's growing popularity.
