U.S. Budget Deficit Hits Record High

The U.S. Treasury reports the federal budget deficit widened further in May, posting a $90 billion shortfall. For the fiscal year, the federal deficit is already more than $292 billion, higher than a previous record deficit of $290 billion in 1992. Hear NPR's Jack Speer.
