NPR's Julie Rovner reports on a provision of the House Medicare bill that Democrats say would eventually end Medicare as we know it. Private health plans would have to bid against one another and the traditional government-run Medicare program. This kind of competitive bidding is causing concern among analysts and consumer groups.
