MSNBC said Friday it has suspended "Morning Joe'' host Joe Scarborough for two days because he donated to four Republican candidates. The suspension comes two weeks after Keith Olbermann was suspended for making political contributions to Democrats.
ROBERT SIEGEL, host:
One more note from the world of cable news: MSNBC says it has suspended former Republican congressman and "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough. This, after the website Politico revealed that Scarborough had made political contributions to four Republican candidates between 2004 and 2008.
MELISSA BLOCK, host:
The donations are a violation of NBC News policy. Scarborough will be off the air for two days. That's the same amount of time his colleague Keith Olbermann spent off the air after contributing to three Democrats in the 2010 midterms.
