Trombone Choirs

Trombone choirs play a part in more styles of music than you can shake a slide at: classical, jazz, gospel and pop. The oldest continuously performing musical ensemble in America is a trombone choir. Independent producer Jon Kalish visits a church in Pennsylvania and another in Harlem — plus a few jazz clubs in between — to present the different sounds of trombone choirs.
