Iraq Government Council Nears Formation

In Iraq, several major political figures are expected to soon announce the formation of a governing council. The move culminates weeks of negotiations with the senior U.S. official in Iraq, Paul Bremer. Some two dozen Iraqis formally will be appointed to the council, which is seen as the first step toward creation of an elected democratic government in Iraq. Hear NPR's Guy Raz.
