Proponents of the drug re-importation bill up for a vote on Capitol Hill this week say it would save U.S. consumers hundreds of billions of dollars on prescription drugs. That could have a significant impact on drug industry profits — and their ability to spend money on research and development. NPR's Snigdha Prakash reports.
