Jeff Young of West Virginia Public Broadcasting reports that 20-year-old Army private Jessica Lynch returned to her West Virginia home Tuesday to a hero's welcome after nearly four months of medical treatment in an Army hospital in Washington. In her first public appearance, the former prisoner of war thanked her doctors and nurses, the soldiers who rescued her, the Iraqis who helped her in captivity, and the thousands who prayed for her safe return.
