Senate Panel Approves Appeals Court Nominee Pryor

In a strict party-line vote, the Senate Judiciary Committee approves William Pryor's nomination to the U.S. Appeals Court. The vote follows contentious debate in which Democrats accused Republicans of rushing the vote to cut off a probe into Pryor's fundraising activities. A conservative group's ads accused Democrats of opposing Pryor because he's Catholic. NPR's Nina Totenberg reports.
