U.S. Marines Land in Liberia

A seven-member contingent of U.S. Marines arrives in Monrovia to serve as a liaison between West African peacekeeping forces and U.S. warships offshore. The arrival of a Nigerian-led peacekeeping force brings a temporary halt to the fighting in the Liberian capital. NPR's Jason Beaubien reports.
