Three murders from 1989 are still very much on the minds of people in the Appalachian community of Pocahontas, Va. Part of the reason is that the town's former mayor has been accused of ordering the killings, and he's facing the death penalty. NPR's Steve Inskeep visits Pocahontas as part of the Morning Edition hometown news series.
