More than 6 million items are housed in the Library of Congress's new Packard Campus in Culpeper, Va.
The Library of Congress's new Packard Campus was built to house the library's entire audio-visual collection — more than 6 million items in all. The 415,000-square-foot facility in Culpeper, Va., is equipped with technology old and new that will be used to preserve and duplicate America's creative history of film, video and sound recordings, and make it accessible to the public.
