Embattled Liberian President Charles Taylor resigns at a ceremony attended by other African leaders. But rebels who have engaged Taylor's troops in a long civil war say they won't accept Taylor's hand-picked successor, Vice President Moses Blah. Taylor, a former warlord who overthrew past President Samuel Doe, is expected to go into exile in Nigeria. Hear NPR's Renee Montagne and NPR's Jason Beaubien.
