Baton Rouge Schools Suit Finally Resolved
Public schools in Baton Rouge, La., are free of federal court supervision for the first time in 47 years. A judge has approved a settlement of a school-desegregation lawsuit filed 47 years ago. The system is now more than 70-percent black, and the resolution of the legal fight is aimed at improving funding for the public schools. NPR's Debbie Elliott reports.
