Pillowtex Layoffs Hurt North Carolina Town

The jobless rate in Kannapolis, N.C., climbs to 10 percent, a month after the city's oldest and largest employer declares bankruptcy. The closing of the Pillowtex textile mill resulted in 4,000 layoffs, and local officials are scrambling to provide emergency aid for the newly unemployed. Hear NPR's Adam Hochberg.
