Democrats Embrace Immigration Amnesty

In a policy shift for the party, every major Democratic presidential candidate has come out in support of some type of immigrant legalization program. President Bush first pushed the idea of immigrant amnesty two years ago but dropped the issue following the Sept. 11 attacks. Hear NPR's Jennifer Ludden.
