Unusual Waves in Wisconsin Spawn Surfing Contest

On Sept. 1, the city of Sheboygan, Wis., hosted an unlikely sounding event — the Dairyland Surfing Classic.

Surfers from across the country converged to test their skills on surprisingly large waves, created by a unique wind pattern along the shores of Lake Michigan.
