WTO at Impasse on Drug Patent Issue

The World Trade Organization is struggling to agree on a plan that would allow some countries to ignore patents on drugs for a variety of serious diseases, including AIDS. After long talks that began yesterday, the WTO failed to put the plan into effect. Hear NPR's Steve Inskeep and NPR's Joanne Silberner.
