Economic Picture Brightens; Job Outlook Still Cloudy

The U.S. economy is growing a bit faster than had been predicted, in part because of military spending, and trends indicate growth may accelerate. But the growth is not creating many jobs, and the Congressional Budget Office is predicting a record federal budget deficit. Hear NPR's Scott Simon and Fortune magazine editor Joe Nocera.
