Host Bob Edwards talks with Fawaz Gerges, a Middle East and international affairs professor at Sarah Lawrence College, about Islamist resistance to the American occupation of Iraq. Gerges says Friday's bombing at a mosque in Najaf could erode Shia Muslim cooperation with U.S. forces. He also says the attack could foreshadow an Iraqi civil war between the Shia and the Sunni Muslims, which would present even greater problems for occupation forces.
