Chicago Murder Rate Highest in Nation

The number of murders in Chicago this year tops 400 over the Labor Day weekend, more than any other city in the country. In an effort to combat the rising murder rate, one Chicago police district mounts surveillance cameras on light poles and sends out more than 100 extra officers to patrol the streets.
