At the Boston production of The Producers the tympani thunders from a dressing room on the third floor of the Colonial Theater. The orchestra pit at the Colonial is so small that there is no room for show's percussionist, harpist and cellist. They all play from dressing rooms and are hooked up electronically with the rest of the orchestra. Hear NPR's Scott Simon and percussionist Mark Worgaftik, interviewed from the dressing room where he plays.
