U.S. Observes 6th Anniversary of Terrorist Attacks
The Marine Corps Band joined members of Congress on the steps of the Capitol on Monday, the eve of the sixth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. President and Mrs. Bush will attend a service of prayer and remembrance Tuesday at a church near the White House. Defense Secretary Roberts Gates will speak at a ceremony at the Pentagon. New York City observes will four minutes of silence Tuesday to remember the nearly 3,000 victims. A reading of the names will be held in a public park near ground zero. And in Pennsylvania, Gov. Ed Rendell will honor the victims of Flight 93.
