Khalilzad Nominated as U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan

Special U.S. envoy to Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, is nominated as ambassador to that country. Aid workers in Afghanistan have complained that the reconstruction of the war-ravaged country has been ignored during the Iraq war and occupation — and many are encouraged by Khalilzad's appointment. NPR's Michele Kelemen reports.
