OPEC Tightens Oil Supply

Members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries agree to cut oil production. It's an effort to defend high crude prices, but comes as the peak winter demand approaches. Some analysts say OPEC, the world's largest petroleum cartel, is trying to demonstrate its power. NPR's Steve Inskeep talks with economist Fareed Mohamedi.
