Supreme Court Opens New Term

It's the first day of the Supreme Court's annual term but the session will be short due to Yom Kippur — the holiest day in Judaism. Campaign reform, the death penalty, and state funding of religion are among the topics facing the justices this term. Hear NPR's Nina Totenberg.
