NPR's Karen Grigsby Bates talks with NPR's Richard Harris about the winners of the Nobel Prize for medicine, announced this morning. American Paul C. Lauterbur and Briton Sir Peter Mansfield won for discoveries leading to the development of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), a technology that allows unprecedented views inside a patient's body.
