The F-Word and the FCC

This past January at the Golden Globe Awards, pop star Bono, lead singer of the band U2, let slip a four-letter word while accepting a prize. The program was broadcast live on NBC. Rejecting complaints from the Parents Television Council, the Federal Communications Commission this week said that Bono's use of the word was not offensive. We'll discuss what the FCC's decision means for the future of broadcast media.
