Iranian Rights Activist Wins Nobel Peace Prize

NPR's Madeleine Brand talks to Professor Haleh Afshar about this year's winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Iranian human rights activist Shirin Ebadi. Afshar was born and raised in Iran and is the author of Islam and Feminism: An Iranian Case Study. She now teaches political science at the University of York in England. Her father was a professor of Shirin Ebadi's in Iran.
