Mystery Writer Heilbrun Dies of Apparent Suicide
Mystery writer and feminist literary critic Carolyn Heilbrun has died at the age of 77, an apparent suicide. She's better known by her pseudonym, Amanda Cross -- the author of a series of murder mysteries that feature a woman detective who, like Heilbrun, was a professor of English.
