Senate Poised to Ban Late-Term Abortion Procedure
The Senate is expected to pass the final version of a bill that would ban a medical procedure known as intact dilation and extraction, used in late-term abortions. Supporters of the bill refer to the procedure as "partial birth abortion," and say they will consider passage a victory, even if the Supreme Court ultimately strikes it down.
