Lawmakers Seek Revisions to Patriot Act

Congress is considering several proposals aimed at limiting the surveillance powers granted to law enforcement officials under the USA Patriot Act. Attorney General John Ashcroft says the law is vital to the war on terror, but civil liberties groups say it is too intrusive and too secretive. Hear NPR's Larry Abramson.
