Families Struggle with Life support Issues
NPR's Renee Montagne talks with Dr. Ronald Cranford about the medical and ethical aspects of severe brain damage. A neurologist and bioethicist, Dr. Cranford testified on behalf of Terri Schiavo's husband, Michael. Unlike the very public Schiavo case, families around the country struggle privately when deciding if they should keep a loved one on life support.
